Skin tumor surgery
The skin is our largest organ. External stimuli or predisposition can cause skin changes that are malignant and should be removed for medical reasons.
State-of-the-art surgical technology
In order to remove skin tumors gently, effectively and with a good cosmetic result, we offer our patients a controlled surgical procedure, which is the most modern method for treating many types of skin cancer.
In our practice we have a fully equipped, modern operating room (practice operating room) that meets all the hygienic and organizational requirements for outpatient surgery. Here we carry out all skin surgery procedures under local anesthesia.
Many skin tumors grow into deeper tissue layers and form very fine "branches". These should be removed as completely as possible, otherwise there is a possibility that the tumor will return and destroy the surrounding tissue. For this reason, tumors are usually removed generously.
The resulting excision defects can be better reconstructed so that as much of the healthy tissue as possible can be preserved. In Mohs surgery, the tumor is removed minimally invasively and the incision edge is examined microscopically immediately after removal. This ensures that no tumor residues remain in the tissue. Otherwise, these are immediately removed in a second surgical incision.
Compared to conventional surgical procedures, the recurrence rate in Mohs surgery is significantly lower.
