Full body check

Are you concerned about changes in your moles? At DERM ART, we offer professional mole control services by our experienced dermatologists.
Moles can be signs of skin cancer, so it's important to have them checked regularly by a specialist. Our dermatologists perform thorough examinations to identify suspicious moles and take further action if necessary.

The Unrecognized Danger
Melanoma can affect anyone and is now considered a malignant tumor. Many people die of this disease at a young age, although skin cancer can be cured if detected early.

Early detection and prevention are crucial
Fair-skinned people with lots of pigment spots are particularly at risk. If there have been cases of skin cancer in your family or if you had a lot of sunburn as a child, you are also in the risk group. In fact, sun and UV rays are the number one risk factor for the development of all types of skin cancer!

How does skin cancer develop?
If the skin is exposed to UVA or UVB rays for a long period of time, the radiation causes significant damage to the genetic material in the cell nuclei of the skin. These cells then either die or are renewed through the skin's self-healing process. This is how we can cope with sunburn, for example. If the exposure is too great, however, the skin can no longer heal itself and cancer can develop from the affected cells.

To avoid cancer, you should:

  • always avoid the midday sun,

  • always apply appropriate sun protection,

  • Avoid sunburn at all costs,

  • when travelling to sunny countries, adapt your protection accordingly,

  • Keep an eye on pigment spots and moles and have any changes examined by a doctor.
